POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Senior VP of Patient Care Services, Director of the Pharmacy is responsible for planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, evaluation and documentation of Pharmacy Department and Outpatient Pharmacy activities. Director of the Pharmacy is responsible for assuring that all individuals in the department who are responsible for the treatment or care of patients are competent to deliver care appropriate to the ages of the patients served: i.e. Neo-Nate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric.

CLINICAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a budget for the Pharmacy services
Supervises and maintains active inventories
Maintains and supervises CQI activities
Participates in the process of vendor selection and Formulary maintenance
Understands responsibility in responding to nursing and medical staff when medication orders are incomplete or need clarification
MUST BE able to work normal/scheduled working hours to include Holidays, call-backs, weeknights, weekends, and on-call.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Current California Pharmacist and Controlled Substances licenses
Must be a Pharm D with three years hospital Pharmacy experience
Four years hospital pharmacy management experience
Strong clinical background
Strong administrative experience
