Millennia Patient Services (MPS) is looking for a Chief Financial Officer to lead the overall finance and accounting function for the company and be a key leader in developing the strategic direction of the company. MPS is a fast-growing, private-equity backed, technology-enabled services company that needs a financial leader who has experience leading the finance function in a PE-backed firm, managing significant organic and inorganic growth, developing and presenting the company’s financial position and growth to commercial and private lenders, and brings an entrepreneurial spirit and know-how to the organization.
This position will be responsible for both office-based and virtual employees across our Finance and Accounting functions. This role will also work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer to track sales performance and develop accurate forecasts of growth and performance and our VP of Operations to ensure we deliver on our budget and forecasts.
This position is a key leadership role in the organization and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer as his strategic partner and financial advisor. This position is to be based in our Raleigh, NC headquarters.

Qualified candidates are expected to:
  • Provides executive and fiscal leadership of finance, accounting, and all financial affairs of the organization
  • Oversees all company accounting practices, including the accounting department, preparation of budgets, financial reports, tax and audit functions
  • Leads and develops all financial strategy, planning, and forecasting
  • Prepares all monthly and quarterly financial statements and reports for the organization working closely with members of the Finance team
  • Develops timely and highly accurate forecast models to better guide and lead the decisions of the CEO, senior leadership team, and our Board
  • Lead all financial presentations, updates, and reviews with the CEO, our private-equity sponsors, the Board, and lenders
  • Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, fixed asset records, general accounting and cost accounting.
  • Bring keen focus on the importance of cash management and EBITDA, with strength in cash management in a highly complex, high-volume cash business
  • Oversee all banking and lender relationships with a strength in continual review and renegotiations of terms, options, and covenants
  • Provide strategic financial insights and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization
  • Lead financial reviews, model development, financing options, and integrations efforts for the organization’s M&A activities
  • Partnering with the business division owners to ensure delivery on their financial commitments
  • Coach, mentor and develop a team of high performing financial personnel to meet the company’s strategic and operational needs
  • Provide financial education and training to senior leaders and management to drive strong financial acumen across the organization
  • Bring a strong knowledge of healthcare and revenue cycle management with specific expertise on patient receivables and collections
  • Able to effectively communicate with direct employees and across the organization about the company’s financial performance and results
  • Be a powerful driver of culture across the Finance division and MPS as a whole through thoughtful employee engagement, effective communication, participation in company initiatives and programs, and being a constant voice of motivation to all around you.
Experience Requirements:
  • 10+ years of accounting experience in a senior accounting, financial management, or Controller role.
  • Prior roles as a CFO of a private-equity backed business preferred
  • Direct experience in a senior role at a Revenue Cycle Management or a Healthcare Billing company strongly preferred
  • Considerable knowledge of financial programs, policies, records, and related practices
  • Merger and Acquisition experience preferred
  • Ability to present to executive leadership, our Board, and our private equity sponsors
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA/CMA eligibility and/or certification, preferred.
  • Familiarity with OKR and/or KPI methodologies
