We are conducting an
executive
search for an experienced Director for Accreditation, Quality, & Safety. Responsibilities will include: Ensuring that the hospital and clinics are continually ready for regulatory surveys and Joint Commission surveys; Meeting all pertinent regulatory and accreditation requirements; Insuring that processes and systems are designed to achieve best practice performance for clinical quality and patient safety.
In this high profile position you will: Supervise the accreditation
manager
and the occurrence reporting
manager
and design systems to effectively identify deficits and risks, implement necessary changes, and to monitor results for optimal adherence to Joint Commission requirements and all relevant federal, state and local regulations; Have responsibility for directing and managing the occurrence reporting system, identifying immediate risk, taking necessary action, and providing timely follow up on required actions; Serve as the liaison with the Joint Commission and provides internal consultation across all departments and clinics regarding regulatory standards interpretations, how to establish compliant processes and systems, and to proactively identify any regulatory issues and the tracking of action plans. The position will report to the Vice President of Quality.
Position qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required with Master's degree in a work-related field/discipline highly preferred; 7 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in an acute
care
hospital environment; CPHQ preferred but not required; Knowledge of governmental and other regulatory standards, requirements, and guidelines, specifically, Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, Title 22; Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, administration, fiscal and personnel management; Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements; Computer literacy; Ability to analyze compliance with hospital accreditation standards and policies and ensure optimal compliance; Ability to manage, organize, prioritize, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities; Ability to provide leadership and influence others; Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus; Ability to mediate and resolve complex problems and issues
