Our facility is a 250 bed hospital, offering an array of services and specialties including a 24-hour emergency department, therapy and rehabilitation services, surgical services such as weight loss surgery, and a womens health center. We
are the only hospital in the area to receive a five-star rating for clinical excellence in maternity care for five years in a row from HealthGrades, a leading independent health care ratings company.

We are seeking an experienced Director of ICU. Must be RN, BSN required, Masters degree preferred. Must have a minimum five years experience in ICU management and Director level for at least three (3) years. Prefer a CCN, critical care nurse designation. Leadership/personality skills are critical. The department has 24 bed ICU and 8 bed IMU. Will oversee 70-80 FTEs.

Responsibilities of this Director of ICU:
-Monitors and directs all patient care activities. Responsible for directing clinical and non-clinical personnel.
-Reviews and approves all new hires, establishes and controls standards for performance appraisals.
-Identifies staffing needs of the department and provides for accordingly.
-Coordinates in service/training needs of staff with Staff Development department.
-Remains available, accessible and visible to staff.
-Recognizes staffs achievements and accomplishments and provides ongoing feedback on performance.

Requirements:
- Current RN
- BSN, prefer MSN or MHA
- Current Texas license preferred
- 3 - 5 years ICU/Critical care experience
- 2-3 years as a Director or Manager experience
- Budget experience required
- Exceptional leadership, communication and organizational skills
