We are conducting a specialized search for an experienced Director, Epidemiology for a 900+ bed facility (Joint Commission Accredited). In this high profile role you will be responsible for the management, coordination, integration, evaluation, reporting and educational activities of the Epidemiology/Infection Prevention & Control Program. This includes coordinating efforts with Employee Health, Patient Safety, Risk Management and other clinical areas to ensure a safe environment for patients, employees, associates, volunteers, physicians and visitors. The position will report to the Vice President of Medical Affairs and will supervise the following areas: Infection Control Epidemiologists, Surveillance Coordinator, Epidemiology Infection Control Associate, Grant Funded Research Nurses and others assigned to the Epidemiology Department.

Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing, current RN license in Georgia (or eligible) required with Masters preferred; Minimum of five years clinical experience in Nursing; Two+ years of proven leadership experience in acute care hospital infection prevention required; CIC certification as offered by the Certification Board for Infection Control (CBIC) highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to function and communicate with all professional disciplines in an appropriate and effective manner is essential.
