DescriptionThis is a brand new CVICU in a new part of the hospital. It will be 15-18 beds. The Nurse Manager will report directly to the Director of ICU-CCU and she/he will be required to take over those responsibilites when the Director is not there. This Manager MUST have 10-15 years of progressive ICU, CCU, expereince with a very good knowledge base of cardiac issues. This nurse MUST also have at least 5-7 years of progressive management experience within a cardivascular unit
This nurse MUST have a BSN in Nursing with a MSN/MBA/MHA much prefered. There will be no exceptions made for BSN as this hospital is going for Magnet Status. He/she must also have a TX. RN license or be elegible for one: Must also have ACLS. This is a very good position but one that takes a nurse with long experience in the cardiovascular field, has the ability to lead, mentor and teach as well as provide direct patient care when necessary.
