Our 200 bed hospital provides a variety of exceptional clinical programs and services, including multi-organ transplantation, cardiology, oncology and physical rehabilitation services, maternity, neonatology and emergency/trauma care.
We are seeking an experienced Magnet TAPE Program Director. Must be Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Texas licensed RN and MSN or a related Masters degree. In collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership, the Magnet/TAPE Program Director assumes system-wide responsibility for coordinating all aspects of the Magnet/TAPE application, designation, and re-designation process. Responsible for assuring that TAPE and Magnet standards are deployed and evidence-based practice and performance excellence are hardwired into all areas of the organization. The Director of Magnet/TAPE Program will facilitate and oversee the preparation of documentation, policies, research activities related to acquiring and maintaining Magnet/TAPE designation.
Must have Ten (10) years nursing experience required with experience developing and conducting education programs.
Prior Management or project management experience is required. Previous experience in Magnet accredited organization or experience in Magnet accreditation process highly desirable. Special Qualifications: -Excellent project management skills -Effective verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to work with diverse groups. -Excellent organizational skills -Strong problem solving skills.
You will be expected to work independently, and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: -Organizational assessment in meeting Magnet/TAPE criteria. -Takes lead in implementing strategies to improve organizational performance. -Creates and implements innovative ways to transform organizational culture, systems and services. -Works closely with leadership and staff to promote a culture of Evidence Based Practice and research. -Serves as liaison between leadership, Texas Quality, ANCC, staff, physicians, and the community. -Serves as overall project manager with appropriate delegation skills. -Develops timelines and implementation plans to meet goals. -Manages change-management with department directors/clinical managers and facilitates effective change. -Designs PI processes specific to systems and coordinates implementation, including the collecting and analyzing of PI data. -Designs and produces reports as required.
