DescriptionGeneral Summary
Responsible for directing the operation of the non-inpatient rehabilitation services at assigned locations. Reports to the Senior Vice President, Clinical Operations. Works in collaboration with the appropriate Medical Director.

Principal Responsibilities
1. Manages the clinical operations of the assigned services. Compiles, analyses and reports on operations and functions as appropriate. 2. Develops and recommends objectives contributory to fulfillment of the annual strategic plan. Develops and implements action plans appropriate to assure completion of non-inpatient service objectives. 3. Anticipates changes in the reimbursement environment. Works with other clinical managers and finance to identify the impact of such changes and recommends actions to be taken. Develops annual budget proposal according to budget development plan. Operates according to approved budget and appropriate operating targets. Directs the processes necessary to assure and monitor cost efficiency. 4. Provides leadership to a multi-disciplinary treatment team. Directs and provides leadership to medical students, residents and rehabilitation interns working in the facility. 5. Collaborates with medical director, attending physicians and corporate directors to review, problem-solve and act to assure that non-inpatient services meet organizational expectations. 6. Monitors quality of patient care and rehabilitation services delivered to patients in area(s) of responsibility. Oversees the analysis, review and action planning resulting from outcomes and satisfaction reports for outpatient services. Oversees the process for outpatient services. 7. Recruits staff required to accomplish organizational objectives and management. In the spirit of continuous learning, develops growth plans, provides opportunity for skill development, coaches, and evaluates performance of reporting staff. 8. Develops an annual marketing plan with marketing representatives. Implements and reports about the implementation of the plan and its results. Collaborates with managed care team to develop managed care contracting strategies. 9. Assures compliances with regulatory, reimbursement and accreditation requirements as well as policies and procedures. Participates and collaborates with clinical program and professional practice groups in order to assure appropriate quality care. 10. Performs clinical treatment duties of professional staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
1. Masters in Health Service Administration, Hospital Administration, or equivalent degree. 2. Three to five years-clinical experience in Allied Health with demonstrated competency. Must be a liscensed physical therapist or occupational therapsit in order to be considered for this position. 3. Two to three years of progressive management experience in an acute or rehabilitation health care setting. 4. Demonstrated leadership ability in managing a progressive health care delivery team. 5. Knowledge of managed care. 6. Demonstrated knowledge and analytical capability in revenue and expenses. 7. Demonstrated ability to direct service growth and development. 8. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to build efficient working teams.
Working Conditions
1. Normal office environment with little or no exposure to dust or extreme temperature.
