DescriptionThe Manager will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate for residents ranging in age from adolescence to geriatrics including Rehab Services, Occupational Therapy, & Speech Pathology.
In conjunction with the Director, the provide leadership/direction in accordance with organizational & departmental philosophy and goals. The Manager will provide leadership guidance aimed at improving performances, maintaining competencies and expanding services. The Manager will work in collaboration with other department managers, medical staff, and Associates to meet and exceed the needs of our patients, families, and community. Quality
1. Ensures quality care that meets organization, departmental & regulatory requirements, and appropriate utilization of Rehabilitation services.
2. Plans and leads staff meetings to share information and assist with patient management.
3. Develops a department plan, complete with long and short term objectives 4. Displays the ability to optimize workflow processes using appropriate tools. Serves as a leader in improving patient satisfaction across the department.
5. Initiates planning and implementing of new projects and services, seeking appropriate level of administrative guidance and approval.
6. Maintains current knowledge of regulatory and accrediting agency requirements to ensure departmental compliance. (i.e., JCAHO)
7. Develops, implements, and assures compliance with corporate and departmental policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services.
8. Continually increases knowledge base through attendance at seminars/workshops as well as individual readings.
9. Meets productivity standards
10. Assists with creation, revision, and review of departmental policies, procedures, & standards.
Finance
1. Establishes operational & staffing budget for assigned department/location and staff.
2. Maintains appropriate annual operating budget by analyzing statistical information and taking action when appropriate.
Qualifications:
1. Masters degree from an accredited school of Physical, Occupational, or Speech Language Therapy preferred. 2. Candidate must have passed accreditation board exam required. 3. Must hold a current Virginia Licensure. 4. Minimum of two years experience as a Licensed Therapist required. 5. 3 years of supervisory experience required.
