DescriptionNewly vacant OR Manager position for this highly rated facility. Excellent employee satisfaction. Beautiful facility. This OR Manager work with a very strategic Director of Surgical Services. We are looking for someone who can work very independently.

This is a new Nurse Manager position.

1. Responsible for the day-to-day supervisory operations of a patient care unit. Duties may include: charge nurse function, provision of hands on patient care, planning for continuity of care for forecasting next shifts needs, administrative call, and clinical and personnel problem solving.

2. Formulates and ensures optimal patient outcomes and customer satisfaction through ongoing performance initiatives with multidisciplinary teams according to the age/needs of the patient/population served. Duties may include participation in unit and hospital based committees and performance improvement initiatives.

3. Supervises staffing and scheduling; screens and selects staff, addresses performance issues and provides input into corrective action as necessary; provides input into staff performance reviews in a timely and effective manner.

4. Establishes credibility with physicians, management team members, and outside business partners and customers.

5. Participates in a systemic, interdisciplinary, and ongoing evaluation of programs, process improvement, desired client-centered outcome, and organizational outcomes.

6. Ensures safe care to patients, adhering to external regulatory agencies and policies, procedures, and standards of care, within budgetary specifications, including time management, supply management, and accuracy of practice; coordinates resource allocation (supplies, staff, beds, etc.).

7. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education, skills competency; supports department-based goals, which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor, and resource to less experienced staff.

Requirements

1. BSN or equivalent with current license.

2. Completion of Basic Life Support.

3. Performs duties with accountability, competency, innovation, collaboration, compassion and respect to create the best possible outcomes with exceptional customer experiences.

4. Prefer CNOR.

5. Three or more years experience in OR.

6. One or more years supervisory or management experience.
